Our Mission
At Andrews & Patel Associates, experience, expertise and compassion are paramount to our care.

One of the more special aspects of our practice is our Electronic Medical Record and actually a complete office system that is largely paperless. In the late 1990’s we realized that someday computers would become an important part of medical care. We looked at several existing software programs for medical practices at the time and none were anywhere close to being suitable.

So we decided to build our own. It was a long a tedious process to get a system together, but in January of 2001, we had a system that could be used, and from that date on, did away with paper charts in out office. We have had different programmers and programs over the years and are constantly updating and figuring out new ways to display data to make for an efficient reliable health care delivery system.

Both of our offices are connected together with server back up in both offices. We have remote access to our records over the Internet from anywhere in the world, but more importantly from home and the hospitals. We have an internal message system. All reports of x-rays, laboratories are directed onto to medical record and brought to the attention of the ordering physician. Prescriptions are ordered electronically and recorded in the system, and naturally all charting is on the system.

We have realized that a full-time on-site programmer is essential to update and develop the system. So, in 2006, John Fisher was hired for this position. We have also Daniel King as another on-site individual, who oversees the Information Technology department.

We are on the cutting edge of Health Information Technology and are committed to keeping this position as the rest of the medical world begins to wade into this exciting field.
